Mini OREO Surprise Cupcakes!
I LOVE oreos and I LOVE cupcakes...so what better than to combine them! I have a cookbook that I found on sale at Barnes and Noble, which is filled with recipes for cream cheese and hidden in it were these AMAZING cupcakes! They look like a regular chocolate cupcake until you bite into it and find a mini oreo and cream cheese! I have made these cupcakes for various parties and even to enjoy at home! Everyone raves about them especially kids! For Fourth of July I used yellow cake mix and turned half the batter red and the other half blue and had red, white, and blue OREO Surprise Cupcakes! It is a little time consuming to make these but in the end it is definitely worth it! Below you will find the link to the recipe in case you are brave enough to try to make these yourself!

Today I thought I would share one of my favorite places to find new recipes which is www.kraftrecipes.com. On their website you can search for recipes based on holidays, browse by meal, or by other various categories such as kid-friendly recipes. Kraft allows you to create an account for free which allows you to have your own online recipe box. I love this because then I do not have a stack recipes sitting around. Also you can choose to have emails sent directly to you based on your interests such as recipe of the day, which is what I get! I also receive Kraft Foods magazine food & family, which is filled with various recipes and information on new products to look for in the grocery stores. I LOVE Italian food so I tend to keep an eye out for them! I have tried a ravioli bake recipe that I found online, which was quick and easy to make! A second recipe that I have recently tried was from the latest food & family magazine. It was a chicken parmesan recipe, which only took about 5 minutes to prep and only a half hour to bake. I made some spaghetti and garlic bread to go with. The chicken was super juicy and moist! It was AMAZING for how simple of a recipe it was! My boyfriend thought that I had been cooking dinner for hours!

This week was very hectic for me so I resulted to a quick fix dinner from the grocery store. I tried one of Velveeta's cheesy skillets, which was the chicken alfredo. It was DELICIOUS! I like cheesy creamy foods and this was very creamy and a little rich, but not too rich. The cost of this box dinner is between $3-$5 and all you have to add is the chicken. It takes between 20-30 minutes to prepare and serve the dinner. It makes about 5 1 cup servings. Velveeta has created a whole line of these cheesy skillets including nacho supreme, ultimate cheeseburger mac, zesty BBQ chicken, and chicken & broccoli. I have also tried the chicken broccoli and because I loved it so much I tried the chicken alfredo! I have bought this product at Walmart and Piggly Wiggly, but I am sure that most grocery stores carry at least some of the line.

My name is Angie and I am a 22 year old college student. In my spare time I enjoy searching for new recipes on the web, in cookbooks, or in magazines. With being a college student I tend to be busy most days of the week and spending lots of time cooking a good healthy meal isn't always an option so I like to explore quick fixes from the grocery store. You can expect to find my reviews on recipes I have tried, where I find my recipes, and reviews on my quick fix grocery store finds! Happy Cooking!
